Walking and Talking

Walking and Talking

Walking and Talking is a unique service offered by Boulder Valley Counseling.  A cross between therapy, coaching, and personal training, in a Walking and Talking session you will meet your therapist at a trailhead rather than in the office.  Sessions will be tailored to your individual needs and may include: check-ins around personal goals; development of healthy habits and coping skills; brainstorming sessions about life choices, business ideas, creative endeavors; or simply connecting with a compassionate listener on a while connecting with nature, breath and your own body.  Walking and Talking can also be done in small groups.

Walking and Talking could be used as an adjunct to individual therapy or other treatment plan, and is also a perfect option for individuals who don’t feel that they are wanting or needing to enter into in-depth 1-on-1 therapy.  The goal of Walking and Talking is to provide a health and safe environment to build a healthier happy life, to support new life choices, or to engage in creative thinking about problems, solutions, and new directions.

A phone consultation is necessary before setting up a Walking and Talking appointment.

Because walking and talking is not depth therapy, it is offered at a lower rate than individual therapy.  50 minute sessions are 75 dollars, group sessions are 30 dollars.
